Ways to give to the BEC Foundation, and in turn your community, include rounding up your electric bill to the next whole dollar, making a donation via mail or in person, and more.

Round Up to Make a Difference

BEC members can choose to round up their monthly electric and/or fiber bill to the next whole dollar. For example, if your monthly electric bill is $53.73 Bandera Electric will automatically round up to $54.00, with the additional 27 cents going to the BEC Foundation. Your bill reflects the rounded up amount, and the average donation for each participating member is $6 per year. This money is then used to provide grants to nonprofit 501 (c)(3) organizations and fund projects in BEC service areas that help other BEC members, your neighbors.

To enroll, simply fill out the form below, stop by a BEC office, enroll using your myBEC account online, or call (866) 226-3372 to speak with Member Relations. You will have the option to round your utility bill up to the nearest whole dollar per meter or donate a set amount per month.

Our 2024 Charity Golf Tournament is scheduled for October 20-21, 2024, at Fair Oaks Ranch Country Club in Boerne, Texas. To kick off the tournament, the foundation will host a dinner and dance on Sunday, October 20, and the tournament will kick off with breakfast and a pre-tournament putting contest, followed by a round of golf including lunch and a post-tournament scoring reception. Proceeds from the tournament directly support local nonprofit organizations and vital services through the BEC Foundation’s Community Grant Program.

The Live Oak Golf Course at Fair Oaks Ranch Golf & Country Club was designed by golf legend Gary Player. Built in 1978, this 18-hole championship golf course in the Texas Hill Country meanders through the community, with various ravines and vistas encountered throughout the a round. Deer and other wildlife are also prevalent throughout the course. Live Oak provides players of all skill levels a challenging test of golf. To learn more, visit Fair Oaks Ranch Golf and Country Club online.
