Bandera Electric Cooperative stays at the ready for severe storms that might impact our area, this summer and year-round.
During a weather emergency, BEC’s representatives are available 24-hours, 7-days-a-week, and members are encouraged to report any power outages by phone at (866) 226-3372, online at the Bandera Electric website, or through our mobile app. Please do not report power outages on our Facebook page.
If we experience power outages or damage to the system, crews will be ready to make repairs as soon as conditions are safe.
We encourage all members to have a storm emergency kit on hand and recommend including the following items:
- Water (1 gallon per person per day, for several days).
- Food (three-day supply of nonperishables).
- Flashlights.
- A first-aid kit and prescriptions.
- Extra batteries and power banks.
- A manual can opener.
- Moist towelettes.
- Extra pet food.
